Yay, I inspired a blog post! :-)

I have been in three different buildings with my company. In the first building, I was moved several times. I used to joke about the "three moves, then out" (of the company) rule, but we are waaaaay past that now. When we came to this building, there was one side of the aisle which had windows, and the other side didn't. Window side cubicles were assigned by seniority, and since I have been around longer than some other people, I had my choice of a cubicle on that side. Great. Well, those more senior than me received larger cubicles, AND my window looks out on a large (two storey) air conditioning unit. It's a little weird, but I do get to see the sky, have dayight come into my cubicle, and if I turn my head just right I can check the weather.

Every time we have moved there have been complaints. In the second building all the cubicles were pretty much the same, except for those on the outside walls which faced the windows. In the interest of "fairness," those cubicles were assigned to shared printers and storage space. That was good for weeks of water-cooler talk!

Hopefully the drama will die down in your office as conditions improve for everyone. These transitions are always difficult.

I read your blog :)

I hate milk too. I can have it on cereal (the minimal amount required to get the cereal wet!), or drink a smoothie (ie flavoured milk) but cannot stand it by itself.
